LocalRentify is an online marketplace that connects people who want to rent out items ("Owners") with people who want to rent items ("Renters"). LocalRentify itself does not own, inspect, or guarantee any item listed on the platform — we provide the platform, listing tools, and coordination support, but the rental agreement is between the Owner and the Renter.
You must provide accurate information when registering, including your real name, date of birth, and mobile number. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. LocalRentify may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these terms, or are used fraudulently.
Owners must accurately describe the condition, availability, and pricing of items they list. Listings are reviewed before going live and may be rejected or removed at LocalRentify's discretion, including for prohibited items, misleading descriptions, or policy violations.
When a Renter requests to book an item, LocalRentify coordinates confirmation between both parties. A platform fee (shown transparently before booking) applies to each confirmed rental, calculated as the lower of a fixed percentage or a flat cap, as displayed at checkout. This fee compensates LocalRentify for listing verification, coordination, and platform maintenance.
Security deposit amounts are set by the Owner and shown on each listing. Any dispute regarding damage, late return, or deposit refunds is first between the Owner and Renter directly; LocalRentify may assist in coordinating a resolution but is not a guarantor of any deposit refund or damage claim outcome.
Users may not: list stolen, illegal, or counterfeit items; use the platform to commit fraud; circumvent LocalRentify to avoid platform fees after being introduced through the platform; harass or threaten other users; or attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
LocalRentify acts solely as an intermediary marketplace. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalRentify is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, or dispute arising from a rental transaction between an Owner and a Renter. Users engage with each other at their own risk and are encouraged to verify listings, communicate clearly, and use the platform's coordination support.
LocalRentify reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to violate these terms, engage in fraud, or misuse the platform, without prior notice where necessary to protect other users.
LocalRentify may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
